When will it be released, what is the plot, what is known?
Release date
There’s no official release date yet—the developers haven’t even indicated an approximate release date on Steam. Due to limited resources, development of previous games took a long time—Love, Money, Rock ‘n’ Roll, for example, took six years.
The neural network scandal and Rita’s ban
After the announcement, social media users noted that the cover might have been created by a neural network. This was determined by the number of fingers in the preview—some of the characters have six. However, developer Anton Arkatov, nicknamed Rita, denied the use of AI and posted correspondence with the artist as proof.
Regardless, the scandal attracted significant attention to the announcement. It prompted complaints against Arkatov’s VK page, which was eventually blocked for “suspicious activity.” Later, circles appeared on the developer’s Telegram channel, depicting the game’s creator, in an altered state of consciousness, threatening a user, promising to “find and break their fingers.”
The Endless Summer 2 trailer
There’s no official trailer yet—the developers only shared an announcement and screenshots. We’ll update this article when more information becomes available.
The plot of “The Endless Summer 2”
The plot of “Everlasting Summer 2” is similar to the first film. An ordinary modern guy named Alexey miraculously finds himself back in time to Soviet times, at the “Sovenok” camp, where the first film took place. He meets the young pioneers living there and builds relationships or friendships depending on his preferences.
The composition of the pioneers has been updated:
- Conductor – accompanies Alexey on the bus to the pioneer camp;
- Mila is a girl with blue hair and eyes;
- Lyuba is a blonde with green eyes;
- Vika is a girl with overly modern-looking accessories and pink and blue hair coloring;
- Christina is a brunette with glasses and a strict uniform;
- Anya is an athletic girl with fiery red hair.
So far, only six girls are planned (the screenshots show the five main characters). They also promised well-developed secondary characters, like in the first game.
Everlasting Summer 2 System Requirements
So far, only the minimum PC requirements have been published on the Steam page. Considering this is a visual novel, the maximum requirements are unlikely to be much higher.
