The Spiral Abyss update in Genshin Impact was released on January 16th . Until February 16th, you can take part in high-difficulty combat trials and earn rewards based on your star count. In this guide, we’ll cover the best teams to complete, which players to choose, and how to defeat enemies on floors 9–12.
9th floor
Lunar Reactions damage increased by 50%.
First half
The first half contains Fatui cruisers of various elements, spread across all three halls. You can take your usual squadron with you in this half, as there are no restrictions.
The second half
The Fluid Embodiment of Lava on the first floor and the Pyro Scion of the Frosty Night on the third floor both have high resistance to Pyro damage. Therefore, it’s worth taking any element other than this one—damage dealers like Hydro, Cryo, or Electro.

10th floor

First half
In the first half, it’s advisable to have a teammate or a damage dealer who can deal damage to the crowd, or a team with buds. There are a lot of enemies, so it’ll be easier to gather them in one spot and deal damage. But this isn’t a requirement.

The second half
In the second half, it’s not a good idea to take Dendro and Anemo damage dealers because of Dendro Wyob on the first floor, Dendro Frostnight Scion, and Radiant Swordhorn. However, you can take any other teams you normally use.
11th floor
First half
All squad members receive 60% bonus Hydro damage.
The first half are elite opponents who have no resistance or immunity to Hydro. Add a Hydro damage dealer or Hydro sub-DPS to your squad to boost their damage.

The second floor is made up of Wasteland Exiles—enemies related to the Wild Hunt. Therefore, it’s most effective to take a team with Lunar Charge or Lunar Budding on this floor, or a team with Overcharge and frequent ticks. The third floor is Hydro Phantasm, so taking Hydro damage dealers there is not recommended.

12th floor
First half
The active character’s charged attack damage is increased by 75%.
The buff description sounds enticing, but the enemies actually tell you this floor is meant for Nevillette. Or, if you don’t have him, play through it twice—the second floor has Pyro resistance, the third has Electro and Cryo resistance.
